I made a cake from scratch today and the kids weren't too bad. Of course, it took twice as long as it would've had I been child-free... I got the recipe here and even made the amazing icing!
I gave a toy to Avi to play with/chew on and didn't realize it was FILTHY until I checked up on her: her face and hands were dirty and her sleeper and bib looked like a mud puddle. I guess most children don't die from eating dirt, right???
Taylor's been going to bed with several items: a giant teddy bear, a stuffed tow truck (Mater from Cars), a die-cast John Deere backhoe loader and a mega blocks Lightning McQueen (also from Cars). I get rid of the potential eye-poker-outers once he's asleep...
