There's a reason I could spend eternity on the internet. For example, I started here at one of the blogs I read regularly and ended here in a completely random yet interesting scrapbooking site.
Scrapbooking is one of my wannabe hobbies, meaning "I would if I could." The "coulds" usually refer to organization, time and money rather than talent, though that's often in short supply as well. Other such hobbies include knitting, cross-stitching, writing and even reading. Time is usually the excuse of choice though I've heard of people with even less than I who manage to scrapbook every day by having a table dedicated to it and working on it in spare moments. Ya. I've scrapbooked one page in my life and it's not even finished. After days of pouring over scrapbooking books, magazines and other such inspiration, it took me 3 or 4 hours in a row just to figure out the layout, no glue or scissors used. I was on my annual girls' weekend; time was not an issue. It did seem like a waste of freedom though and so I haven't done any since. I have some supplies, plenty of inspiration, zero talent. I'm afraid of "doing it wrong" which is ridiculous.
I get my writing "itch" taken care of by blogging and squeeze reading in every few days. The rest is on a craving basis. The baby blanket I started knitting for Taylor may be done in time for his first kid.
