Leisure Time

It's really a shame that one doesn't REALLY appreciate their leisure time until it has to be squeezed between breast-feeding, naptimes and housework. One cannot reconsider having children after having children! It's a good thing they're so darn cute!

The longer I'm alive, the more I recognize similarities between everyone. Remember when you were a teenager and no one had the same problems you did? No one could possibly understand what you're feeling? Hah! I dread the day I too tell my teenagers "I'm not stupid, I was a teenager once. I've been there and done that" and so on. They'll roll their eyes and think (or say to my face!?) "Yeah, right!" I like reading other people's blogs because I smile and think, "She's the same as me!" I too neglect housework and quality family time when in the midst of tearing through a particularly good read (Amanda!). It's very reassuring when you find out you're not alone. So to all my family or friends that don't think they have time to blog (Eva!), convert now! Lots of love always.

Sooooo, I've been checking out the Twilight series on the web. Not only is the 4th book coming out (Breaking Dawn), they're making a movie out of the first book and it comes out end of this year/beginning of next! I'm actually quite excited. I read that Twilight has exceeded Harry Potter sales! I'm so happy for Stephenie Meyer and I don't even know her. I think it's because I've always wanted to write a book but lack the storyteller's talent so cheer for those who do have the gift. Congratulations Stephenie of Arizona! (What a fluke that she lives in the same state as my favorite contemporary author Diana Gabaldon... Maybe there's something in the water there... I'd move there if I could handle the excessive heat and sun!)

I don't know what your talking about. I would never put a bowl of cheerios, bottle of milk, and my son in front of Barney while I read the last chapter of a good book. Well at least not that often! teehee
