Kids

Averi has taken to shrieking in the evenings. Whether due to fatigue, teething or boredom, I've yet to ascertain. All I know is that she's attention-seeking... Why?

I took Taylor to the Mom & Tots playgroup that occurs every week at the church. He usually plays by himself and watches the other kids but he got a little more involved today. Especially when someone brought in an electronic dinosaur toy that he's played with in stores before. Now he keeps mentioning dinosaurs. Another obsession to add to trucks, trains and movies. I guess it's an inevitable milestone in male development.

Had mom over for dinner. She helped to distract Avi. Thanks for everything, Mom!

Shawn and I keep discussing the plausibility of purchasing a minivan. Whether here or in the States, new or used, it's still up in the air. Would certainly make all the trips that are coming up more convenient.

The possibility of going to Victoria for Easter is something I forgot to mention. I want Grandma to meet her namesake sooner than later. (Kathleen, Avi's middle name, is from my grandmother's first name). Taylor got to visit all his great-grandparents (plus his great-great-grandmother!) in Victoria when he was 3 months old, Avi should get the opportunity soon! Granted that it's more difficult to travel with 2 kids than one...

Several women at church are pregnant and got me thinking about what my feelings are in regards to another baby. Probably not the best time to consider because Avi still gets me up in the night. Heck, Taylor still gets me up in the night! As a matter of fact, for the first time ever, Taylor crawled into bed with us in the middle of the night last night! We're not sure why. He rarely even enters are room when he wakes up before us in the morning. He usually calls me to him... Anyway, after Taylor crawled in, I had to get up with Avi so I just carried him back to his own bed after I was finished with the baby. The whole thing was kinda cute though. Back to having another baby , Shawn and I both threaten periodically to never have anymore children. I like to think it's the natural result of having a 2-year-old. I mean, we already have a boy and a girl; many people would leave it at that. I think I've decided to just take it as it comes.

At the same playgroup, I talked with Amanda who said that she loves when the kids are down because then she can spend the rest of the night on the computer. I let her know that I was glad I wasn't the only one!! Hooray for the internet!!
