Quick Update

I've been super busy but wanted to share that I signed a contract for next term at SAIT. Wehoo! I'll have my fingers in 3 different programs: Medical Transcription, Health Information Office Assistant (being renamed Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk), and Health Information Management (the program I took once upon a time). I even have an old pal that's currently taking that last program, so I'll get to see her on a regular basis starting in March.  :)

We set up the Christmas tree this past weekend and the kids are wondering where the presents are.  lol!

Ella finally got her glasses! I haven't had a chance to take pics... Will have to do ASAP.  Since she's farsighted, the lenses magnify her eyes a bit... She's still cute.  At least when she's hugging you.  ;)  She's very huggy but only on her own schedule.  ;)  We also have to patch her a bit. I feel terrible that our kids' eyes are so terrible.  Even Taylor's grade 2 teacher has voiced concerns so Taylor's up next for an optometrist visit.  :(

Hey, your step mom sent me your blog, she was a teacher of mine, and I live in Calgary. I figured I would de-stalk myself. Question, my son just turned 1 and needs glasses. He is far sighted, and will have the magnify thing too... What glasses did you get? Is there anything cute out there? Any help would be great, feel free to email me too. BrooklynBerry at gmail.com

Congrats on your new term contract!! Sounds like you really like teaching.

I know someone else that had their own hugging agenda...lol. I remember feeling badly, too, when some of you children needed glasses, and you with your eye patches and glasses. But, at least they don't need super strong glasses (as one gets older it usually means stronger glasses are needed each time), or are going blind. Taylor too, huh... By the way, no parent should feel badly about what gets passed down because it goes way back and is not because of you.

Look forward to the pics! Tell us what's on the children's mind by the remark they made when you put the tree up. Do you have a nativity to put up? That's always fun to do when the tree goes up too. I love watching children look at nativities and especially when they study baby Jesus.

Thanks for the update! :)
