Mom mentioned this evening that I've been remiss in sharing a few details in my blog. One of them being that Taylor now says prayers. It first happened two or three weeks ago. We bowed our heads for prayer but before I could start one, Taylor was right in there saying, "Heavenly Father, Christ, amen!" Sometimes I'm able to coax him into actually blessing the food.
A few more tidbits from the recent trip to Idaho:
Keith, Wendy's son, made his specialty Sunday night: barbequed salmon. I had the dubious honor of placing the serving tray on the table where Taylor was already seated.
Me: Look Taylor, we're eating Nemo for supper! (Am I mean or what?)Yes, Taylor ate "Nemo."
Taylor: No! No eating Nemo!
On another occasion, I was feeding Avi a mixture of rice cereal and pureed peaches when Taylor happened by.
I put a dab of the concoction in his mouth and he gagged and started whining. Wendy promptly got him a drink of water to ease his poor tastebuds.Me: Do you want to try some, Taylor?
Taylor peers warily into the bowl.
Me: It's peaches and cereal. You love peaches.
Taylor hesitantly opens his mouth.
Tonight is the first time in awhile that Taylor has stayed in bed after being put to bed. I think I have his busy morning to thank for that even though he had a nap. Thanks Daddy and Grandpa!
I made a darn good chili for supper and it took all of 15 minutes. Thanks Jean Paré!
